Transporting kitesurfing gear is one of the most painful parts of a trip: excess baggage fees, risk of damage, airport hassle. At Sakalava Bay, we rent out a fleet of recent gear, sized for the strong Varatraza wind.
Every set is checked and serviced after each session. You arrive, pick your kite size, and you are on the water within 20 minutes.

Rental: your questions
Free rental is reserved for confident self-sufficient riders comfortable in strong wind. Beginner? Combine a lesson with rental: we provide adapted gear for the duration of your training.
With the Varatraza (20-35 knots), a 9m is the standard most of the time. Above 30 knots, a 7m is enough. We'll advise you on the best choice on arrival based on the day's forecast.
Yes! Many riders use the rental to test different brands and models before investing. Contact us in advance to reserve your preferred test gear.
