Sakalava Bay, between wind and turquoise

These photos were taken at Sakalava Bay, the kitesurf spot of our school in Diego Suarez. You will see the flat, shallow lagoon that made the spot famous, our IKO private coaching sessions and riders enjoying the Varatraza wind from April to November.

The light changes through the day: calm mornings, windy afternoons, golden evenings. That is also what makes every session unique and every image different. Beginners find a reassuring stretch of water, while advanced riders get a playground for jumps and freestyle.
