Stay at Sakalava Bay
Bungalows, lodges, camping: sleep right by the spot and enjoy all-inclusive packages designed for riders.
Where to sleep at Sakalava
Sakalava Bay offers a simple, friendly range of stays, from toes-in-the-sand camping to comfortable bungalows overlooking the lagoon. Everything is within a few minutes' walk of the spot.
We work with partner accommodations that know kitesurfers well: early wind alarms, gear drying areas, hearty breakfasts before the session, and above all the real Malagasy atmosphere.
Our partners
- Bungalows & lodges — private bungalow rooms with mosquito nets, 2 to 5 minutes' walk from the spot.
- Guest houses — stay with locals, total immersion and gentle prices.
- Eco-lodges — sustainable stays nestled in the lagoon's vegetation.
- Camping — shaded pitches a few meters from the water, the most budget-friendly.
Included in our stays
- Airport transfer — pickup at Arrachart (10 min from the bay).
- Breakfast — served every morning before the wind session.
- Personalized coaching — private lessons built into the package to match your level (see packages below).
- Direct spot access — walk or pirogue departure from your accommodation.

Accommodation: your questions
Most riders choose a simple or double bungalow with mosquito net and shower. Eco-lodges appeal to couples, camping to backpackers. We advise you based on your budget and wishes.
Breakfast is included in our stay packages. Other meals are taken at the lodge restaurants or in the village: grilled fish, zebu, rice and tropical fruit, from just a few euros.
Yes, Sakalava is very family-friendly. Lodges accept children and the shallow lagoon is perfect for swimming. Mention it in your request so we can adapt accommodation and lesson pace.
